These two blocks are hand pieced
additions to the Mix and Match quilt. As much as possible I am using fabric
from my stash of which quite a bit is vintage. There are new fabrics used from
time to time, as needed for matching and designing the color scheme.
I am determined to use up most
of the vintage fabric that I have on hand. At this point the goal is to make 30
blocks total!
The Sisters Quilting project is
also a mix and match but it is machine pieced. Mid and I have been mirroring each
other, quilting, making machine pieced sampler blocks for that project. I
find my self being torn between both methods, making two quilts at once.
Quilters typically have more than one project going at once.
We "sew" love to quilt!

Hello my sister,
ReplyDeleteI'm just browsing your blog. The bears paw that I made was 14 1/2 finished. I used the quick cutting method to make the HTS since it has so many. The "Drunkards Path" was a bit challenging; choosing the right fabric combination is key. It should have one dramatic color to give it that pop in the design.
I'm enjoying making these blocks.
The Bear Paw's is often done in 14 inch finished. My machine pieced Drunkards Path was pretty difficult with the curves. I prefer hand stitching curves.
