The first two rows of the quilt
looked great! After measuring I could see that the original plan was a little
too small for a throw size. I added two more blocks to each row, and two more
rows. Now there are eleven odd rows and ten even rows which should result in a
nice throw size quilt.
The color blocks are randomly placed,
but the additions shifted the pattern, so I had to make some changes. To mix up
the flow of blocks, I added shiny white and deep gray blocks colors. Since I am
putting together this pattern randomly, we can say the color and placement are dynamic
for now, but overall, I am pleased with it.
This quilt, which is made up of
diamond shapes, must be stitched point to point. It is a pattern
that requires rechecking. Today I was able to complete six rows. My goal for
tomorrow is to complete the remaining rows and start stitching the diamond top
rows. This is where I will face the Y seam challenge!
I hope Teddy likes it!
