Mid asked me to join her in making this Bargello quilt. The quilt was designed Patti Carney and the fabric is from Northcott, designed by Deborah Edwards. Instructions for this quilt is found in an old magazine that is no longer in business, Quilt Trends. We shopped online for the Lavender Market Collection and did quite well, considering that this fabric is from about 2010. We were lucky to find all of the fabrics needed except one color which is amazing. Northcott does not produce this collection any longer.
Normally, this is not a design that I am attracted to but this particular quilt design is unique and I am looking forward to making another quilt with my sister. She is brave, taking on the task of making a sample block before we cut.
Below is a picture (not so clear) from the magazine. It is an unusual Bargello lay-out with bouquets and baskets between the rows.
