This is our first day of working
on the Bargello. Mid is already sewing hers and was able to make two baskets
today. The ¼ inch seam was off on one basket and she had to correct it to
ensure it was scant ¼ inch. Thankfully, the seam was corrected on
her second try! We quilters love it when the seams come together accurately. As
quilters, we are humbled by the sometimes challenging exercise of accurately
sewing a scant ¼ inch seam!
I am still cutting fabric for
my quilt and was able to get all color fabric pieces done today. Cutting
fabrics for this quilt is nerve racking, especially due to the limited supply
in the Lavender Market Collection fabrics. I have one more
section of cutting to complete (white tonal) and then I can start sewing!
We hope to start on Wednesday of next week.
ReplyDeleteHopefully now that ALL of my fabrics are cut.
