Gnomes Block of the month - January

This block is so darn cute! I just love the little snowflake at the tip of the bandana! This is the January BOM and part of the quilt that I started in March 2022 with Blue Hen Quilt Shop.

My machine quilting is improving which was the goal in making this quilt. Also, it helps me to break out of the traditional mode. I do love vintage.

Machine piecing and quilting is a mindset change switching and it is not that easy to switch from hand quilting to machine quilting. Machine appliqueing is different from hand appliqueing and in some ways, freer!

I have one block left to piece and will then sew the blocks and borders to complete the Gnomes quilt top. This will also be machine quilted.
