We have two Bargello Quilt tops - Lavender Fields!
Looking back, I recall surveying all the fabric cuts laid out to be machine pieced. It almost seems sudden that we are now ready for the next steps, layering the top, batting, and backing, then quilting the layers.
The task did seem daunting. The pattern itself was a bit
difficult due to a few math discrepancies but we worked through the
problems. The cutting instructions required careful attention to details. It
helps that we are experienced sewists and quilters. Even with the pattern
measurement discrepancies, I do so admire the quilt designer’s work to create
this very unusual Bargello quilt pattern appropriately named “Lavender
Fields.”
These are pictures of our pieced tops.

We finally got this quilt top sewn. Whew!!! a piece of work that's for sure but I love the design. Sometimes we need to challenge ourselves and venture from the norm.
ReplyDeleteOn to the next phase; making the sandwich, quilting and binding, Thank you my sister for not letting me quit!!!
You have the best design solutions when we can't find the OOP fabrics. Both are unusual. The hunt for OOP is fun but that shipping cost is the worst! This one tested our sewing skills with those math errors!
